Obesity 2 a better you

My old way of Transport
Last year I realised I was over weight and needed to change. I was fed up of being called fat and chubby. I was carrying to much fat for my height and age. I would prefer to jump on a bus or get a lift in a car even if I was only going to the shop round the corner. But now I have changed I am now even walking to school thanks to walk on Wednesdays. Walk on Wednesdays is a group which encourages young children to walk to school on every Wednesday of each month and if you do you get a badge and sweets. There are even great prizes like ipods and laptops to be won . So check if your school is entering this years competition. I did no exercise I would make up excuses not to do PE at school. I would eat way too much for my age and snacks to me were a regular part of my day. I hated fruit and would not touch vegetables. If  there was a piece of vegetables on my plate I would say it was contaminated and make my mum scrape it off. I changed thanks to a exercise video I found on youtube. It was that or going to fat camp. I would like to thank my mum for making me realise I needed to changed. Obesity is way to common in Britain and if you think you are over weight check your BMI standing (healthy weight calculator) to see if you are perfect weight for your age. http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyweightcalculator.aspx?Tag=

Theese are all the badges I collected in last year's competition. See if you can beat meat in this years competition. Look at all the amazing design's that you can win if you walk to school on every Wednesdays of each month. See how many you can collect.
